✧ He said: I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was at Mina or at 'Arafat, and the Bedouins were coming. When they saw his face, they said, "This is a blessed face." He said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, seek forgiveness for me." He said, "O Allah, forgive us." He said: Then I went around and said, "O Messenger of Allah, seek forgiveness for me." He said, "O Allah, forgive us." Then he went to spit, and he gestured with his hand, caught his spittle with it, and wiped it on his sandal, disliking that it should hit anyone around him. Then he said, "O people, what day is this? Indeed your blood and your wealth are forbidden to you like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours. O Allah, have I conveyed? Let the one present convey to the one absent." He said: And he commanded about charity, saying, "Give charity, for I do not know—perhaps you will not see me after this day of mine." He set Yalamlam as the miqat for the people of Yemen to enter ihram from there, and Dhat 'Irq for the people of Iraq—or he said, "for the people of the East." A man asked him about the 'atirah. He said, "Whoever wishes may offer an 'atirah, and whoever wishes may not; and whoever wishes may offer a fara', and whoever wishes may not." And he said about sheep, "Its sacrifice," with the fingers of his right hand, and he placed them on the joint of the middle finger and his index finger, bending the tip slightly.
