حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ قَالَا ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرَةَ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ؓ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ وَهُوَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَظْرَةً وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ نَظْرَةً وَيَقُولُ «إِنَّ ابْنِي هَذَا سَيِّدٌ وَلَعَلَّ اللهَ أَنْ يُصْلِحَ بِهِ بَيْنَ فِئَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ»

✧ I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ on the pulpit with al-Hasan b. 'Ali ؓ beside him, looking at the Messenger of God ﷺ once, and the Messenger of God ﷺ looking at him once, saying: “This son of mine is a master, and perhaps God will bring about reconciliation through him between two factions of the Muslims.”
