حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ وَأَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ يَجِيءُ وَهُوَ صَبِيُّ صَغِيرٌ فَكَانَ كُلَّمَا سَجَدَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَثَبَ عَلَى رَقَبَتِهِ وَظَهْرِهِ فَيَرْفَعُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَأْسَهُ رَفَعًا رَفِيقًا حَتَّى يَضَعَهُ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّكَ لَتَصْنَعُ بِهَذَا الْغُلَامِ شَيْئًا مَا رَأَيْنَاكَ تَصْنَعُهُ «إِنَّهُ رَيْحَانَتِي مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِنَّ ابْنِي هَذَا سَيِّدٌ وَعَسَى أَنْ يُصْلِحَ اللهُ بِهِ بَيْنَ فِئَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was praying, and al-Hasan would come, being a small child. Whenever the Prophet ﷺ prostrated, he would jump onto his neck and back, and the Prophet ﷺ would raise his head gently so as not to drop him. They said: “O Messenger of God, you do something with this boy that we have not seen you do with anyone.” He said: “He is my sweet basil in this world. This son of mine is a master, and perhaps God will bring about reconciliation through him between two factions of the Muslims.”
