✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in a structure of his. I greeted him and he said, "'Awf b. Malik?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Enter." I said, "All of me or part of me?" He said, "Rather all of you." Then he said to me, "O 'Awf, count six things before the Hour. The first of them is my death," and I wept until he kept calming me. Then he said, "Say one." I said, "One." He said, "And the second is the conquest of Jerusalem. Say two." I said, "Two." He said, "And the third is a death that will occur in my community, seizing them like the quivering of sheep. Say three." I said, "Three." He said, "And the fourth is a tribulation that will occur in my community," and he magnified it. Then he said, "Say four." I said, "Four." He said, "And the fifth is that wealth will overflow among you, so much that a man will be given one hundred dinars and will be displeased with them. Say five." I said, "Five." He said, "And the sixth is that there will be a truce between you and the Banu al-Asfar, then they will march against you under eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand. The camp of the Muslims on that day will be in a land called al-Ghutah, in a city called Damascus."
