✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in a tent of his made of tanned leather. I greeted him and said, "May I enter?" He said, "Enter." So I put my head inside and saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution thoroughly. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, may I enter fully?" He said, "All of you." When I sat down, he said to me, "Count six things before the Hour: the death of your Prophet." 'Awf said, "I was struck by such grief as I had never felt before." He said, "Say one." I said, "One." He said, "And the conquest of Jerusalem, and a tribulation in which there will be a death among the Arabs—a disease that will seize you like the quivering of sheep—and wealth will become widespread among you to the point that a man is given one hundred dinars and remains angry. And a truce will be between you and the Banu al-Asfar, then they will betray, and they will come against you with eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand."
