✧ The Two Eid Prayers

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ

أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ كَانَ يَغْدُو إِلَى الْعِيدِ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ الْمُصَلَّى، وَيُكَبِّرُ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ الْإِمَامُ

Translation

✧ Ibn Umar ؓ used to go early to the Eid prayer from the mosque, raising his voice with the takbir until he reached the musalla, and he would say the takbir until the imam arrived.
