✧ The Two Eid Prayers

وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ، قَالَ:
قِيلَ لِعَلِيٍّ ؓ: إِنَّ نَاسًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ الْخُرُوجَ، مِنْهُمْ مَنْ بِهِ عِلَّةٌ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْعُدُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَسْجِدُ، فَقَالَ ؓ: صَلُّوا هَا هُنَا وَفِي الْمَسْجِدِ، وَصَلُّوا أَرْبَعًا: رَكْعَتَيْنِ لِلسُّنَّةِ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ لِلْخُرُوجِ
Translation

✧ It was said to Ali ؓ: There are people who cannot come out; some of them have an illness, and some of them live far from the mosque. He ؓ said: Pray here and in the mosque, and pray four [rak'ahs]: two for the Sunnah and two for going out.
