وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَيْخٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ أَتَيْنَاهُ عِنْدَ رَأْسِ الثَّنِيَّةِ قَالَ: عَنْ عُمَرَ الذَّكْوَانِيِّ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَنَا ابْنُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ، أَوْ عَشْرٍ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَنَسُ، أَكْثِرِ الطَّهُورَ يُزَدْ فِي عُمُرِكَ، وَصَلِّ الضُّحَى، فَإِنَّهَا صَلَاةُ الْأَوَّابِينَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ arrived when I was nine or ten years old. He said: “O Anas, increase in purification and your lifespan will be increased. And pray the Duha prayer, for it is the prayer of the oft-returning (awwabin).”
