حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا لِي عَهْدٌ بِأَهْلِي مُنْذُ عِفَارِ النَّخْلِ وَعِفَارُهَا أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُؤَبَّرُ ثُمَّ تُعْفَرُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا لَا تُسْقَى بَعْدَ الْإِبَارِ فَوَجَدْتُ رَجُلًا مَعَ امْرَأَتِي وَكَانَ زَوْجُهَا مُصْفَرًّا حَمْشًا سَبْطَ الشَّعْرَةِ وَالَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ خَدْلٌ إِلَى السَّوَادِ جَعْدٌ قَطَطٌ مُسْتَهٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ» ثُمَّ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَجَاءَتْ بِوَلَدٍ يُشْبِهُ الَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ

✧ That a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “I have not had contact with my wife since the pollination of the palm trees — its pollination is that they are fertilized and then left unwatered for forty days after fertilization. I then found a man with my wife.” Her husband was pale-skinned, thin, with lank hair, while the one with whom she was accused was plump, tending towards darkness, with curly, tightly coiled hair, and had large buttocks. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “O Allah, make it clear; O Allah, make it clear.” Then he conducted the liʿān between them, and she gave birth to a child resembling the one with whom she was accused.
