✧ Making up missed prayers

وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ، قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ - فِي سَفَرِهِ الَّذِي نَامُوا فِيهِ - إِذْ طَلَعَتْ [عَلَيْهِمُ] الشَّمْسُ، فَقَالَ ﷺ: « إِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ أَمْوَاتًا فَرَدَّ اللهُ تَعَالَى إِلَيْكُمْ أَرْوَاحَكُمْ، فَمَنْ نَامَ عَنْ صَلَاةٍ فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ، وَمَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا
Translation

✧ During the journey in which they slept until the sun rose upon them, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "You were dead, and Allah, the Exalted, returned your souls to you. Whoever sleeps through a prayer should pray it when he wakes up, and whoever forgets a prayer should pray it when he remembers it."
