✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out and camped during the latter part of the night, and he did not wake up until the sun had risen. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered Bilal ؓ to give the adhan, then he prayed two rak'ahs. Ibn 'Abbas ؓ said: "By it, the world and all that is in it would not please me."

machine translationThis is an error that ʿUbaydah made. A group narrated it and said: from Tamīm b. Salamah, from Masrūq, as a mursal report only. I said to the two of them: From whom is the mistake (wahm)? They said: From ʿUbaydah.

machine translationImam Aḥmad recorded it, and he also recorded with his chain of transmission from Ibn ʿAbbās that he said after narrating this hadith: "This world and all that is in it would not please me as much as this", meaning the concession. There is some criticism concerning its chain. It has also been narrated from Masrūq as a mursal report, and this statement at its end is from the words of Masrūq, and that is more sound (aṣaḥḥ). Abū Zurʿah and Abū Ḥātim al-Rāzī said this.
