✧ Ibn Sayyad and the Uncertainty Regarding His Being the Dajjal

وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْعُرْيَانِ بْنِ الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، فَذَكَرَ قِصَّةً، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ؓ: أَبِأَرْضِكُمْ أَرْضٌ يُقَالُ لَهَا: كُوثَى ذَاتُ سِبَاخٍ وَنَخْلٍ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ الدَّجَّالَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا

✧ I entered upon Yazid b. Muawiya, and he mentioned a story. Abdullah b. Amr ؓ said: "Is there in your land a land called Kutha, with salt marshes and palm trees?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Then the Dajjal will emerge from it."
