✧ Ibn Sayyad and the Uncertainty Regarding His Being the Dajjal

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ثَنَا فِطْرٌ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ:

سَمِعْتُ مِنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَدِيثًا فِي الدَّجَّالِ، مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْهُ حَدِيثًا أَشْرَفَ مِنْهُ، أَنَّهُ يَجِيءُ عَلَى حِمَارٍ، يَأْتِي الرَّجُلُ عَلَى صُورَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ، فَيَقُولُ: يَا فُلَانُ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ إِلَى الْحَقِّ، إِنَّ أَمْرِي حَقٌّ

Translation

✧ I heard from some of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ a hadith about the Dajjal, and I have not heard from him a hadith nobler than it: that he will come on a donkey, and he will come to a man in the form of one of his household, and say: "O so-and-so, I call you to the truth; my affair is true."
