✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of Uhud: “Who saw where Hamza was killed?” A man without weapons said: “I saw where he was killed.” He said: “Go and show us.” He went out until he stood over Hamza ؓ and saw him with his belly split and mutilated. He said: “O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, he has been mutilated.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked looking at him. He ﷺ stood among the slain and said: “I am a witness over these. Shroud them in their blood, for there is no wound inflicted for the sake of Allah but it will come on the Day of Resurrection bleeding, its color the color of blood and its fragrance the fragrance of musk. Put forward the one who knew more of the Qur'an and place him in the niche of the grave.”
