✧ Maymunah ؓ became gravely ill in Makkah, and she had none of her sister's sons with her. She said, "Take me out of Makkah, for I will not die in it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ informed me that I would not die in it." So they carried her to Sarif, to the tree under which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had consummated his marriage with her, at the site of the dome, and she died there. When we placed her in her grave niche, I took my cloak and placed it under her cheek in the niche, but Ibn Abbas ؓ took it and threw it away.
