وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أَخِيهِ عِيسَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا ؓ يَقُولُ:

هَلَكَ فِيَّ رَجُلَانِ: مُحِبٌّ مُفْرِطٌ، وَمُبْغِضٌ مُفْتَرِي
