✧ The first of the Muslims to emigrate with his family to Abyssinia was Uthman ؓ. His news was withheld from the Prophet ﷺ, and he ﷺ kept going out looking for news. A woman from Quraysh arrived and said to him: "O Abu al-Qasim, I saw your son-in-law heading off on his journey, with his wife on a donkey of these [small, creeping] creatures, and he was driving it, walking behind her." The Prophet ﷺ said: "May God Almighty accompany them. Uthman is the first to emigrate with his family to God—Mighty and Majestic—after Lot ﷺ."
