✧ Zayd b. Thabit said: One morning we went out with the Messenger of God ﷺ until we were at a crossroads in Madinah. We saw a Bedouin who had taken hold of the halter of his camel until he stopped before the Prophet ﷺ while we were around him. He said: "Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of God and His blessings." The Prophet ﷺ returned the greeting, then said: "How have you entered the morning?" The camel then grumbled, and a man who looked like a guard came. The guard said: "O Messenger of God, this Bedouin has stolen the camel." The camel grumbled for a while and moaned. The Messenger of God ﷺ listened to its grumbling and moaning. When the camel quieted down, the Prophet ﷺ turned to the guard and said: "Leave him, for the camel has testified against you that you are lying." The guard left, and the Prophet ﷺ turned to the Bedouin and said: "What did you say when you came to me?" He said: "I said, may my father and mother be your ransom: O God, bless Muhammad so that no blessing remains; O God, grant blessings to Muhammad so that no blessing remains; O God, grant peace to Muhammad so that no peace remains; O God, have mercy on Muhammad so that no mercy remains." The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Indeed God, Mighty and Majestic, made them manifest to me, and the camel spoke in his defense, and the angels filled the horizon."
