حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو وَائِلٍ خَالِدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
بَيْنَمَا أَنَا جَالِسٌ إِذْ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ - عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ - فَاحْتَمَلَنِي عَلَى جَنَاحِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ، فَأَدْخَلَنِي جَنَّةَ عَدْنٍ، فَبَيْنَا أَنَا فِيهَا إِذْ رَقَبْتُ بِعَيْنَيَّ تُفَّاحَةً، فَانْفَلَقَتِ التُّفَّاحَةُ نِصْفَيْنِ فَخَرَجَتْ مِنْهَا جَارِيَةٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَمْ أَرَ أَحْسَنَ مِنْهَا حُسْنًا، وَلَا أَكْمَلَ مِنْهَا جَمَالَا، تُسَبِّحُ اللهَ تَعَالَى بِتَسْبِيحٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعِ الْأَوَّلُونَ وَالْآخِرُونَ بِمِثْلِهِ، قُلْتُ: مَا أَنْتِ ؟ قَالَتْ: أَنَا الْحَوْرَاءُ، خَلَقَنِي رَبِّي جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ مِنْ نُورِ عَرْشِهِ، قُلْتُ: لِمَنْ أَنْتِ ؟ قَالَتْ: أَنَا لِلْأَمِينِ الْأَمْعَرِ الْخَلِيفَةِ الْمَظْلُومِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ؓ

✧ While I was sitting, Gabriel ﷺ came to me, carried me on his right wing, and admitted me to the Garden of Eden. While I was in it, I noticed with my eyes an apple. The apple split into two halves, and out of it came a maiden. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: I have not seen anyone more beautiful in beauty than her, nor more perfect in loveliness. She glorified God Almighty with a glorification the like of which the first and the last have not heard. I said: Who are you? She said: I am al-Ḥawrāʾ. My Lord, may His majesty be glorified, created me from the light of His Throne. I said: For whom are you? She said: I am for the trustworthy, the generous, the wronged caliph, ʿUthmān b. ʿAffān ؓ.
