✧ Surah At-Tawbah

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ قَالَ:

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ، فَأَخَذَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ بِثَوْبِهِ فَقَالَ: وَلا تُصَلِّ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ مَاتَ أَبَدًا وَلا تَقُمْ عَلَى قَبْرِهِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to pray over Abdullah b. Ubayy, but Jibril (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of his garment and said: 'And do not pray over any of them who has died, ever, nor stand at his grave.'
