✧ A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah, which places are [the worst]?" He said: "I do not know," or he remained silent. Then he said to him: "Which places are the best?" He said: "I do not know," or he remained silent. Then Gabriel ﷺ came to him and asked him, and he said: "I do not know." He said: "Ask your Lord." So he said: "We do not ask Him about anything," and he trembled a trembling by which the soul of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ almost ascended. When Gabriel ﷺ ascended, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: "Muhammad asked you: Which places are the best? And you said: I do not know?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Tell him that the best of places are the mosques, and the worst of places are the markets."
