وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
« مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصَابُ بِمُصِيبَةٍ فَيَذْكُرُ مُصِيبَتَهُ بَعْدَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، فَيُحْدِثُ لَهَا اسْتِرْجَاعًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى مِنَ الْأَجْرِ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ مِثْلَ مَا أَعْطَى يَوْمَ أُصِيبَ.

✧ “There is no Muslim who is afflicted with a calamity and then remembers his calamity after forty years and renews for it the saying ‘Indeed we belong to God and to Him we return,’ except that God, exalted is He, gives him at that moment a reward like that which He gave on the day he was afflicted.”
