✧ The Virtue of Supplication

وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: ثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، ثَنَا الْحَكَمُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَبِيعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ:
كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَقَالَ: « إِنَّ مَثَلَ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَمَثَلِ شَجَرَةٍ لَا يَسْقُطُ لَهَا أُنْمُلَةٌ أَتَدْرُونَ مَا هِيَ ؟ » قَالُوا: لَا. قَالَ: « هِيَ النَّخْلَةُ لَا تَسْقُطُ لَهَا أُنْمُلَةٌ، وَلَا تَسْقُطُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ دَعْوَةٌ
Translation

✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ one day when he said: "The likeness of the believer is that of a tree whose leaves do not fall. Do you know what it is?" They said: "No." He said: "It is the date palm: its leaves do not fall, and the supplication of the believer does not fall."
