حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدٌ الْعِجْلُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرَوَيْهِ الْهَرَوِيُّ ثنا الْجَارُودُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ ذَرٍّ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ حَيِيٌّ كَرِيمٌ يَسْتَحْيِي أَنْ يَرْفَعَ الْعَبْدُ يَدَيْهِ فَيَرُدُّهُمَا صِفَرًا لَا خَيْرَ فِيهِمَا فَإِذَا رَفَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ يَدَيْهِ فَلْيَقُلْ يَا حَيُّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ إِذَا رَدَّ يَدَيْهِ فَلْيُفْرِغْ ذَلِكَ الْخَيْرَ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, your Lord is Modest and Generous. He is too Modest to let His servant raise his hands in supplication and then return them empty. So when one of you raises his hands, let him say, 'O Ever-Living, there is no god but You, O Most Merciful of the merciful,' three times. Then, when he lowers his hands, let him pour out that goodness upon his face."
