حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمِصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْكِسَائِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الرَّصَاصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ شَجَرَةً مَثَلُهَا مَثَلُ الرَّجُلِ الْمُؤْمِنِ، فَقُلْتُ: وَأَنَا أَصْغَرُ الْقَوْمِ: هِيَ النَّخْلَةُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: هِيَ النَّخْلَةُ

✧ I know a tree whose likeness is that of a believing man. I, being the youngest of the people, said, 'It is the date-palm.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'It is the date-palm.'
