What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationAll of these are objectionable (munkar). There is not a single hadith among them of which it can be said that it is sound (ṣaḥīḥ); it is as if it resembles a fabricated (mawḍūʿ) one. And the hadith of his father, he declared them objectionable.

    in المطالب العالية, p. 3510

machine translationThe hadith of Muḥammad b. Yazīd from his father is more likely to be correct, because he understood his father's hadith better, if his father's books were with him, whereas Yazīd b. Sinān is not strong in hadith (laysa bi-qawī al-ḥadīth).

    in المطالب العالية, p. 3510

machine translationMost of the hadith of Yazīd b. Sinān is not preserved (ghayr maḥfūẓ).

    in المطالب العالية, p. 3510
