✧ While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, 'Amr b. 'Abasa ؓ came to him, and he had pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ upon Islam. He said: "Inform me, O Muhammad, of what you know and I am ignorant of." He asked him about the times of prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: "When you have prayed Maghrib, prayer is accepted and witnessed until you pray Fajr. Then avoid prayer until the sun rises and becomes white, for the sun rises between the two horns of a devil. When it has become white and risen, prayer is accepted and witnessed until midday, when the sun is at its zenith and every thing stands in its shadow—that is the hour in which Hell is stoked. When the sun declines, prayer is accepted and witnessed until the sun turns yellow, for the sun sets between the two horns of a devil."
