✧ Some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ traveled and ran out of provisions. They passed by a Bedouin tribe and asked them for hospitality, but they refused. Then they asked to buy from them, but they refused. So they seized them and took some of their food. The Bedouins went to ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb ؓ complaining about them, and the Anṣār became worried. ʿUmar ؓ said: "Do you deny the wayfarer what Allah creates night and day in the udders of camels and sheep? The wayfarer has more right to the water than the one who builds a structure over it."
