قَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ السَّرِيِّ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ، قَالَ:

قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِذَا أَكَلْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْمِلْحِ وَاخْتِمْ بِالْمِلْحِ فَإِنَّ الْمِلْحَ شِفَاءٌ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ دَاءً، أَوَّلُهَا الْجُنُونُ وَالْجُذَامُ وَالْبَرَصُ وَوَجَعُ الْأَضْرَاسِ وَوَجَعُ الْحَلْقِ وَوَجَعُ الْبَطْنِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "When you eat, begin with salt and end with salt, for salt is a cure for seventy diseases, the first of which are insanity, leprosy, vitiligo, toothache, sore throat, and stomach pain."
