وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّقِّيُّ، عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ أَوْ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ، [نَحْوَهُ] وَلَفْظُهُ:

لِلضَّيْفِ عَلَى مَنْ نَزَلَ بِهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ ثَلَاثٌ فَمَا زَادَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ، وَعَلَى الضَّيْفِ أَنْ يَرْتَحِلَ لَا يُؤْلِمُ أَهْلَ مَنْزِلِهِ

✧ The guest has a right upon his host for three (days); whatever is more is charity. The guest should depart and not cause pain to the people of the house where he stays.
