✧ The Prohibition of Approaching a Menstruating Woman

وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ زِرٍّ، حَدَّثَنِي حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ سَبْرَةَ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ بْنِ نَجَبَةَ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ جُمَانَةَ، وَكَانَتْ تَحْتَ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَتْ

« إِنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ ؓ كَانَ يَنْصَرِفُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ فِي رَمَضَانَ، فَيَدْخُلُ مَعَهَا فِي لِحَافِهِ وَيُوَلِّيهَا ظَهْرَهُ، وَلَا يُقْبِلُ بِوَجْهِهِ عَلَيْهَا »، تَعْنِي وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ

✧ Hudhayfah ؓ would leave after the dawn prayer in Ramadan and enter with her under his blanket, turning his back to her and not facing her, meaning while she was menstruating.
