✧ The Prohibition of Approaching a Menstruating Woman

قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُقْرِئُ، عَنِ الْإِفْرِيقِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ بْنُ غُرَابٍ، قَالَ: إِنَّ عَمَّةً لَهُ حَدَّثَتْهُ
أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّ إِحْدَانَا تَحِيضُ وَلَيْسَ لَهَا وَلِزَوْجِهَا إِلَّا فِرَاشٌ وَاحِدٌ وَلِحَافٌ وَاحِدٌ، فَكَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ ؟ قَالَتْ: « تَشُدُّ عَلَيْهَا إِزَارَهَا، ثُمَّ تَنَامُ مَعَهُ، وَلَهُ مَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ

✧ She asked 'A'ishah ؓ saying: 'One of us menstruates while she and her husband have only one bed and one blanket; what should she do?' She said: 'She should tie her waist-wrapper tightly, then sleep with him, and he may have what is above that.'
