✧ He used to forbid (the use of) al-hantamah. He (the sub-narrator) said: I said: 'What is al-hantamah?' He said: 'The green jar.' And (he forbade) al-dubba', al-muqayyar, and al-muzafat. He said: I said: 'But we make jars of lead and soak (nabidh) in them at night and drink it in the morning.' He said: 'That, by Allah, is wine!' He said: I said: 'Then what?' He said: 'A water-skin in which you soak (nabidh) in the morning and drink it in the evening.'
