وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُخَيْمِرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ؓ، قَالَ:

تَحَيَّنْتُ فِطْرَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِنَبِيذِ جَرٍّ. فَلَمَّا أَدْنَاهُ إِلَى فِيهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ يَنِشُّ، فَقَالَ: اضْرِبْ بِهَذَا الْحَائِطَ ; فَإِنَّ هَذَا شَرَابُ مَنْ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ

✧ I waited for the time when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would break his fast, and I brought him nabidh in a jar. When he brought it close to his mouth, it bubbled, so he said: 'Throw it against this wall, for this is the drink of one who does not believe in Allah and the Last Day.'
