✧ He used to gift the Messenger of God ﷺ a skin of wine every year. When God Almighty sent down the prohibition of wine, he came with it. When the Messenger of God ﷺ saw it, he laughed and said: 'It has been forbidden after you!' He said: 'O Messenger of God, shall I sell it and benefit from its price?' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'May God curse the Jews; He forbade them the fat of cattle and sheep, so they melted it and sold it. Indeed God Almighty has forbidden wine and its price.'
