✧ Oaths and Vows

وَقَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، نَبَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي الْخُوَارِ مَوْلًى لِبَنِي عَامِرٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَارِثَ بْنَ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْبَرْصَاءِ فِي الْمَوْسِمِ يُنَادِي فِي النَّاسِ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ:

« مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَحْلِفُ عَلَى يَمِينٍ كَاذِبَةٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا حَقَّ مَالِ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ، إِلَّا لَقِيَ اللهَ تَعَالَى وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ

Translation

✧ There is no one who swears a false oath to thereby seize the property of a Muslim man, except that he will meet Allah Almighty while He is angry with him.
