✧ Whoever swears an oath while he is false in it, in order to cut off thereby the property of a Muslim man, will meet God while He is angry with him. Al-Ash'ath said: 'By God, it was concerning me. That was between me and a man from the Jews over some land, and he denied me. So I brought him to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and the Messenger of God said to me: "Do you have evidence?" He said: I said: "No." He said to the Jew: "Swear." He said: I said: "O Messenger of God, then he will swear and take my property." So God sent down: "Indeed, those who purchase with the covenant of God and their oaths a small price..."'
