✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said when Ramadan approached: "Glory be to God! What are you about to face?" or "What is the person about to face?" three times. Umar ؓ said: "O Messenger of God, has revelation come down?" He ﷺ said: "No." He ؓ said: "Has an enemy appeared?" He said: "No." He said: "Then what is it?" He ﷺ said: "God Most High forgives all the people of the Qibla on the first night of the month of Ramadan." Then he looked at a man sitting before him who was shaking his head and saying: "Excellent! Excellent!" The Prophet ﷺ said: "It is as if your chest is troubled." He said: "No, but I remembered the hypocrites." He ﷺ said: "The hypocrite is the disbeliever, and the disbeliever has no share of that."
