machine translationMālik b. Anas narrates it, and there is disagreement about what he reported. Muḥammad b. Muḥammad b. Sulaymān al-Bāghandī narrated it from Suwayd, from Mālik, from ʿAmr b. Yaḥyā al-Māzinī, from Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā b. Ḥabbān, from al-Aʿraj, from Abū Hurayrah, and he erred in mentioning ʿAmr b. Yaḥyā; Mālik only heard it from Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā b. Ḥabbān, and so it is in the Muwaṭṭaʾ. It was also reported from Bishr, from Mālik, from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā b. Ḥabbān, but this is not sound (lā yaṣiḥḥ).
