Then the year 371 AH began
ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ سَنَةُ إِحْدَى وَسَبْعِينَ وَثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ ذِكْرُ عَزْلِ ابْنِ سِيمْجُورَ عَنْ خُرَاسَانَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ عُزِلَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سِيمْجُورَ عَنْ قِيَادَةِ جُيُوشِ خُرَاسَانَ، وَاسْتُعْمِلَ عِوَضَهُ حُسَامُ الدَّوْلَةِ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ تَاشْ. وَكَانَ سَبَبُ ذَلِكَ أَنَّ الْأَمِيرَ نُوحَ بْنَ مَنْصُورٍ لَمَّا مَلَكَ خُرَاسَانَ وَمَا وَرَاءَ النَّهْرِ، وَهُوَ صَبِيٌّ، اسْتَوْزَرَ أَبَا الْحُسَيْنِ الْعُتْبِيَّ، فَقَامَ فِي حِفْظِ الدَّوْلَةِ الْقِيَامَ الْمَرْضِيَّ، وَكَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيمْجُورَ قَدِ اسْتَوْطَنَ خُرَاسَانَ، وَطَالَتْ أَيَّامُهُ فِيهَا، فَلَا يُطِيعُ إِلَّا فِيمَا يُرِيدُ، فَعَزَلَهُ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ الْعُتْبِيُّ عَنْهَا، وَاسْتَعْمَلَ مَكَانَهُ حُسَامُ الدَّوْلَةِ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ تَاشْ، وَسَيَّرَهُ مِنْ بُخَارَى إِلَى نَيْسَابُورَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ، فَاسْتَقَرَّ بِهَا وَدَبَّرَ خُرَاسَانَ، وَنَظَرَ فِي أُمُورِهَا، وَأَطَاعَهُ جُنْدُهَا.
Translation
✧ Then the year 371 AH began Mention of the dismissal of Ibn Sīmjūr from Khurāsān In this year, Abū al-Ḥasan Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm b. Sīmjūr was dismissed from the command of the armies of Khurāsān, and Ḥusām al-Dawlah Abū al-ʿAbbās Tāsh was appointed in his place. The reason for that was that when the amīr Nūḥ b. Manṣūr took possession of Khurāsān and what lies beyond the river, while he was a boy, he appointed Abū al-Ḥusayn al-ʿUtbī as his vizier, and he undertook the protection of the state in a satisfactory manner. Muḥammad b. Sīmjūr had settled in Khurāsān and his days there had been long, so he would not obey except in what he wished. So Abū al-Ḥusayn al-ʿUtbī dismissed him from it and appointed in his place Ḥusām al-Dawlah Abū al-ʿAbbās Tāsh, and sent him from Bukhārā to Naysābūr in this year. He settled there and administered Khurāsān, looked into its affairs, and its army obeyed him.
