Then the year 370 AH began
ذِكْرُ قَتْلِ أَوْلَادِ حَسْنُوَيْهِ سِوَى بَدْرٍ لَمَّا خَلَعَ عَضُدُ الدَّوْلَةِ عَلَى بَدْرٍ وَأَخَوَيْهِ عَاصِمٍ وَعَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، وَفَضَّلَ بَدْرًا عَلَيْهِمَا وَوَلَّاهُ الْأَكْرَادَ حَسَدَهُ أَخَوَاهُ، ( فَشَقَّا الْعَصَا، وَخَرَجَا عَنِ الطَّاعَةِ، وَاسْتَمَالَ عَاصِمٌ جَمَاعَةَ الْأَكْرَادِ الْمُخَالِفِينَ )، فَاجْتَمَعُوا عَلَيْهِ، فَسَيَّرَ إِلَيْهِ عَضُدُ الدَّوْلَةِ عَسْكَرًا، فَأَوْقَعُوا بِعَاصِمٍ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ، فَانْهَزَمُوا، وَأُسِرَ عَاصِمٌ، وَأُدْخِلَ هَمَذَانُ عَلَى جَمَلٍ، وَلَمْ يُعْرَفْ لَهُ خَبَرٌ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ، وَقُتِلَ أَوْلَادُ حَسْنُوَيْهِ، إِلَّا بَدْرًا فَإِنَّهُ تُرِكَ عَلَى حَالِهِ، وَأُقِرَّ عَلَى عَمَلِهِ، وَكَانَ عَاقِلًا، لَبِيبًا، حَازِمًا، كَرِيمًا، حَلِيمًا، وَسَيَرِدُ مِنْ أَخْبَارِهِ مَا يُعْلَمُ بِهِ ذَلِكَ، إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى.
Translation
✧ Mention of the killing of the sons of Ḥasanūyah except Badr When ʿAḍud al-Dawlah invested Badr and his two brothers, ʿĀṣim and ʿAbd al-Malik, and preferred Badr over them and appointed him over the Kurds, his two brothers envied him, so they broke the staff and departed from obedience, and ʿĀṣim won over a group of the opposing Kurds, and they gathered around him. ʿAḍud al-Dawlah sent an army against him, and they attacked ʿĀṣim and those with him, and they were defeated, and ʿĀṣim was taken prisoner and was brought into Hamadhān on a camel, and no news of him was known after that day. And the sons of Ḥasanūyah were killed except Badr; he was left in his position and confirmed in his office. He was intelligent, sagacious, resolute, generous, and forbearing. Accounts of him will come that will make this known, if God Almighty wills.
