Then the year 361 AH began
ذِكْرُ الصُّلْحِ بَيْنَ الْأَمِيرِ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ نُوحٍ وَبَيْنَ رُكْنِ الدَّوْلَةِ وَعَضُدِ الدَّوْلَةِ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ تَمَّ الصُّلْحُ بَيْنَ الْأَمِيرِ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ نُوحٍ السَّامَانِيِّ، صَاحِبِ خُرَاسَانَ وَمَا وَرَاءَ النَّهْرِ، وَبَيْنَ رُكْنِ الدَّوْلَةِ وَابْنِهِ عَضُدِ الدَّوْلَةِ، عَلَى أَنْ يَحْمِلَ رُكْنُ الدَّوْلَةِ وَابْنُهُ عَضُدُ الدَّوْلَةِ، إِلَيْهِ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ وَخَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ، وَتَزَوَّجَ نُوحٌ بِابْنَةِ عَضُدِ الدَّوْلَةِ، وَحَمَلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنَ الْهَدَايَا وَالتُّحَفِ مَا لَمْ يُحْمَلْ مِثْلُهُ، وَكُتِبَ بَيْنَهُمْ كِتَابٌ صَالِحٌ، وَشَهِدَ فِيهِ أَعْيَانُ خُرَاسَانَ، وَفَارِسَ، وَالْعِرَاقِ. وَكَانَ الَّذِي سَعَى فِي هَذَا الصُّلْحِ وَقَرَّرَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سِيمْجُورَ، صَاحِبُ جُيُوشِ خُرَاسَانَ مِنْ جِهَةِ الْأَمِيرِ مَنْصُورٍ.
Translation
✧ Mention of the peace settlement between Amīr Manṣūr b. Nūḥ and Rukn al-Dawlah and ʿAḍud al-Dawlah In this year the peace settlement was concluded between Amīr Manṣūr b. Nūḥ al-Sāmānī, ruler of Khurāsān and Transoxiana, and Rukn al-Dawlah and his son ʿAḍud al-Dawlah, on the condition that Rukn al-Dawlah and his son ʿAḍud al-Dawlah should pay him every year one hundred and fifty thousand dinars. Nūḥ married the daughter of ʿAḍud al-Dawlah, and he sent him such gifts and presents as had never been sent the like of before. A valid treaty was written between them, and it was witnessed by the notables of Khurāsān, Fārs, and Iraq. The one who strove to bring about this peace settlement and make it firm was Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm b. Sīmjūr, commander of the armies of Khurāsān on behalf of Amīr Manṣūr.
