Then the year 361 AH began
وَفِي شَوَّالٍ مِنْهَا مَلَكَ أَبُو تَغْلِبَ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ قَلْعَةَ مَارِدِينَ، سَلَّمَهَا إِلَيْهِ نَائِبُ أَخِيهِ حَمْدَانَ، فَأَخَذَ أَبُو تَغْلِبَ كُلَّ مَا كَانَ لِأَخِيهِ فِيهَا مِنْ أَهْلٍ وَمَالٍ وَأَثَاثٍ وَسِلَاحٍ، وَحَمَلَ الْجَمِيعَ إِلَى الْمَوْصِلِ.
Translation
✧ In Shawwāl of this year, Abū Taghlib b. Ḥamdān took possession of the citadel of Māridīn. The deputy of his brother Ḥamdān surrendered it to him, and Abū Taghlib seized everything belonging to his brother in it—family, wealth, furnishings, and weapons—and transported all of it to al-Mawṣil.
