Translation
✧ Mention of his ﷺ entering the House Al-Bayhaqī narrated through the route of Muḥammad b. ʿUmar from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib (may God Almighty have mercy on him), who said: When the Messenger of God ﷺ completed his circumambulation in the compensatory ʿumrah, he entered the House and remained in it until Bilāl called the dawn prayer atop the Kaʿbah, as the Messenger of God ﷺ had commanded him. ʿIkrimah b. Abī Jahl—who later embraced Islam—said: "God Almighty has honored Abū al-Ḥakam by sparing him from hearing this slave say what he says." Ṣafwān b. Umayyah—who later embraced Islam—said: "Praise be to God, who took my father before he could see this." Khālid b. Asīd—like a commander—who later embraced Islam, said: "Praise be to God, who caused my father to die and not witness this day when Bilāl b. Umm Bilāl stands braying above the Kaʿbah." As for Suhayl b. ʿAmr—who later embraced Islam—and men with him, when they heard that, they covered their faces. Thus in this narration: the Prophet ﷺ entered the House. Al-Bukhārī narrated from Ismāʿīl b. Abī Khālid (may God Almighty have mercy on him) that a man asked Ibn Abī Awfā ؓ: "Did the Messenger of God ﷺ enter the Kaʿbah during the settlement?" He said: "No." Muḥammad b. ʿUmar said after narrating what preceded from Ibn ʿAbbās: Ibrāhīm b. Ismāʿīl narrated to me from Dāwūd b. al-Ḥuṣayn, who said: "The Messenger of God ﷺ did not enter the Kaʿbah during the settlement. He sent word to them, but they refused and said: 'It was not in your condition.'"
