   دَخَلَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَلَى مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، فَقَالَ مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ دَخَلَ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ أَسْعَارِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ لِيُغْلِيَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللهِ أَنْ يَقْذِفَهُ فِي مُعْظَمٍ مِنَ النَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

   ✧ Ubayd Allah b. Ziyad entered upon Maqil b. Yasar, and Maqil b. Yasar said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: Whoever enters into any of the prices of the Muslims to make it more expensive for them, it is incumbent upon God to throw him into the great fire on the Day of Resurrection.

   دَخَلَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَلَى مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، قَالَ: حَدِّثْنِي بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَعَلَّ اللهَ أَنْ يَنْفَعَنِي ! قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنِ اسْتَرْعَى رَعِيَّةً فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ لَهَا غَاشٌّ حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ

   ✧ Ubayd Allah b. Ziyad entered upon Maqil b. Yasar and said: Narrate to me a hadith you heard from the Messenger of God ﷺ, perhaps God will benefit me! He said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: Whoever is entrusted with a flock and dies while he deceives it, God has forbidden Paradise to him.

   " كَانَتْ لِي أُخْتٌ تُخْطَبُ إِلَيَّ وَأَمْنَعُهَا النَّاسَ، حَتَّى أَتَانِي ابْنُ عَمٍّ لِي فَخَطَبَهَا إِلَيَّ فَزَوَّجْتُهَا إِلَيْهِ، فَاصْطَحَبَا مَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يَصْطَحِبَا ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا طَلَاقًا لَهُ عَلَيْهَا رَجْعَةٌ، ثُمَّ تَرَكَهَا حَتَّى انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتُهَا، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي يَخْطُبُهَا مَعَ الْخُطَّابِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا لُكَعُ، خُطِبَتْ إِلَيَّ أُخْتِي فَمَنَعْتُهَا النَّاسَ، وَخَطَبْتَهَا إِلَيَّ فَآثَرْتُكَ بِهَا وَأَنْكَحْتُكَ فَطَلَّقْتَهَا، ثُمَّ لَمْ تَخْطُبْهَا حَتَّى انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتُهَا، فَلَمَّا جَاءَنِي الْخُطَّابُ يَخْطُبُونَهَا جِئْتَ تَخْطُبُهَا ! لَا وَاللهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ لَا أُنْكِحُكَهَا أَبَدًا "، قَالَ: فَقَالَ مَعْقِلٌ: " فَفِيَّ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَنْ يَنْكِحْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَاضَوْا بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، قَالَ: " وَعَلِمَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَاجَتَهَا إِلَيْهِ وَحَاجَتَهُ إِلَيْهَا فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ "، فَقُلْتُ: " سَمْعٌ وَطَاعَةٌ ! فَزَوَّجْتُهَا إِيَّاهُ وَكَفَّرْتُ عَنْ يَمِينِي

   ✧ "I had a sister who was sought in marriage from me, and I kept people away from her, until a paternal cousin of mine came to me and proposed to her, so I married her to him. They stayed together as long as Allah willed they stay together, then he divorced her with a divorce that gave him the right to take her back. Then he left her until her waiting period ended. Then he came to me proposing to her along with other suitors. I said, 'You fool! My sister was proposed to me and I kept people away from her, and you proposed to me and I favored you with her and married her to you, then you divorced her. Then you did not propose to her until her waiting period ended.' When the suitors came to me proposing to her, you came to propose to her! No, by Allah, besides whom there is no god, I will never marry her to you.'" He said: Ma'qil said: "About me this verse was revealed: 'And when you divorce women and they reach their term, do not prevent them from marrying their husbands when they agree among themselves on reasonable terms.'" He said: "And Allah, Mighty and Majestic, knew her need for him and his need for her, so this verse was revealed." So I said: "I hear and obey!" And I married her to him and expiated my oath.

   أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ اخْتَصَمَا إِلَيْهِ فِي أَرْضٍ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ أَخِيهِ لَقِيَ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ

   ✧ That two men brought a dispute to him concerning a piece of land. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever swears an oath to seize thereby the property of his brother will meet Allah, Mighty and Majestic, while He is angry with him."
