" لَوْ أَنَّ الْإِيمَانَ مُعَلَّقٌ بِالثُّرَيَّا لَتَنَاوَلَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسَ " وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ: " مِنْ بَنِي الْحَمْرَاءِ مِنْ بَنِي الْمَوَالِي
✧ If faith were suspended from the Pleiades, men from among the sons of Persia would attain it." And perhaps he said: "From Banu al-Hamra', from Banu al-Mawali.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا لِي وَقَدْ صَلَّيْتُ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ، وَاضْطَجَعْتُ فَضَرَبَنِي بِرِجْلِهِ وَقَالَ: أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى كَنْزٍ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ: " لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me one day, after I had prayed the dawn prayer and lain down, and he nudged me with his foot and said: "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?" He said: "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is no might nor power except with Allah)."

جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ إِلَى بَيْتِ سَعْدٍ فَسَلَّمَ فَرَدَّ سَعْدٌ السَّلَامَ وَخَافَتَ وَانْطَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَحِقَهُ سَعْدٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّمَا حَمَلَنِي عَلَى ذَلِكَ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ تَزِيدَنَا مِنْ كَثْرَةِ السَّلَامِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى دَخَلَ عَلَى سَعْدٍ فَأَتَاهُ بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ مِلْحَفَةً وَرْسِيَّةً فَاشْتَمَلَ بِهَا، قَالَ قَيْسٌ: فَرَأَيْتُ أَثَرَ الْوَرْسِ عَلَى عُكَنِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى الْأَنْصَارِ وَعَلَى ذُرِّيَّةِ الْأَنْصَارِ، وَعَلَى ذُرِّيَّةِ ذُرِّيَّةِ الْأَنْصَارِ، ثُمَّ أَوْكَفَ سَعْدٌ حِمَارًا لَهُ عَلَيْهِ قَطِيفَةٌ فَقَالَ لِابْنِهِ: اذْهَبْ فَرُدَّ الْحِمَارَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " ارْكَبْ عَلَى صَدْرِ حِمَارِكَ " قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ارْكَبْ. قَالَ: إِنَّكَ رَبُّهُ " قَالَ: هُوَ لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ
✧ The Messenger of Allah came to the house of Sa'd and gave the greeting of peace. Sa'd returned the greeting but kept it low. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed, and Sa'd caught up with him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, what prompted me to do that was that I wanted you to increase us in the abundance of the greeting." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned until he entered upon Sa'd. Sa'd brought him a vessel containing water and he performed a full ablution. Then he brought him a dyed sheet of wars (yellow dye) and he wrapped himself in it. Qays said: "I saw the trace of the wars on his folds." Then he said: "O Allah, bless the Ansar and the progeny of the Ansar, and the progeny of the progeny of the Ansar." Then Sa'd saddled a donkey of his, upon which was a velvet cloth, and said to his son: "Go and return the donkey." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Ride on the front of your donkey." Sa'd said: "O Messenger of Allah, ride." He said: "You are its master." Sa'd said: "It is yours, O Messenger of Allah."

كُنَّا نَصُومُ عَاشُورَاءَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ، فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ لَمْ نُؤْمَرْ بِهِ وَلَمْ نُنْهَ، وَنَحْنُ نَفْعَلُهُ، وَأُمِرْنَا بِزَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْزِلَ الزَّكَاةُ، فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتِ الزَّكَاةُ لَمْ نُؤْمَرْ وَلَمْ نُنْهَ وَنَحْنُ نَفْعَلُهُ
✧ We used to fast Ashura before the month of Ramadan was revealed. When it was revealed, we were neither commanded nor forbidden regarding it, and we still do it. And we were commanded to give the zakat al-fitr before the zakat (on wealth) was revealed. When the zakat was revealed, we were neither commanded nor forbidden regarding it, and we still do it.

" لَوْ أَمَرْتُ أَحَدًا يَسْجُدُ لِأَحَدٍ لَأَمَرْتُ الْمَرْأَةَ أَنْ تَسْجُدَ لِزَوْجِهَا
✧ "If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone, I would command the woman to prostrate to her husband."
