62. ✧ Abdullah b. Busr ᴿᴬ

   مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِأَبِي وَهُوَ عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ بَيْضَاءَ، فَأَخَذَ بِلِجَامِهَا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، تَنْزِلُ عِنْدَنَا، فَنَزَلَ عِنْدَهُ ﷺ فَجَاءَهُ بِحَيْسٍ، فَأَكَلَ ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ بِتَمْرٍ، فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَأْكُلُ، وَيَقُولُ بِالنَّوَى هَكَذَا، وَضَمَّ شُعْبَةَ أُصْبُعَيْهِ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَ، ثُمَّ نَاوَلَ الَّذِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَهُمْ وَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ

   ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by my father while he was on a white mule, so my father took hold of its bridle and said: O Messenger of Allah, will you stay with us? So he stayed with him ﷺ, and he brought him some hais (a dish of dates, butter, and dried curd), and he ate. Then he brought him some dates, and the Prophet ﷺ began eating and doing like this with the date stones, and he joined his two fingers together (meaning the index and middle fingers). Then he was brought a drink and he drank, then he handed it to the one on his right. Then he said: O Allah, bless them in what You have provided them, forgive them, and have mercy on them.

   نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ

   ✧ Muhammad b. Abi 'Adi narrated to us, from Shu'ba, from Yazid, from 'Abd Allah b. Busr, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar.

   أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، فَأَلْقَتْ لَهُ أُمِّي قَطِيفَةً فَجَلَسَ عَلَيْهَا، وَأَتَتْهُ بِتَمْرٍ فَجَعَلَ يَأْكُلُ وَيَقُولُ بِالنَّوَى هَكَذَا، وَوَصَفَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُلْقِيهِ مِنْ فِيهِ عَلَى ظَهْرِ أُصْبُعَيْهِ الْوُسْطَى وَالسَّبَّابَةِ، ثُمَّ يُقَلِّبُ السَّبَّابَةَ عَلَى الْوُسْطَى فَيَرْمِي بِالنَّوَاةِ مِنْ أَعْلَاهَا، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَ وَنَاوَلَ الَّذِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَهُمْ وَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ

   ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us, and my mother threw down for him a velvet cloth, so he sat on it. She brought him some dates, and he began eating and doing like this with the date stones. And he described that he would take them out of his mouth onto the back of his two fingers, the middle and index, then flip the index over the middle and throw the stone from above it. Then he called for a drink, drank, and handed it to the one on his right. Then he said: O Allah, bless them in what You have provided them, forgive them, and have mercy on them.

   " لَا تَأْتُوا الْبُيُوتَ مِنْ أَبْوَابِهَا، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوهَا مِنْ جَوَانِبِهَا، ثُمَّ سَلِّمُوا فَإِنْ أُذِنَ لَكُمْ فَادْخُلُوا، وَإِلَّا فَارْجِعُوا

   ✧ Do not enter houses from their doors, but enter them from their sides, then greet, and if permission is given to you, enter, and otherwise return.

   قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ تَعْرِفُ مَنْ لَمْ تَرَ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ ؟ قَالَ: غُرًّا مِنْ آثَارِ الْوُضُوءِ

   ✧ It was said: "O Messenger of God, how will you recognize those of your community whom you have not seen?" He said: "By the radiant marks from the traces of ablution."

   نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ بُسْرٍ. قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: وَرَأَيْتُهُ فِي كِتَابِي فِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ

   ✧ Al-Hasan b. Ayyub narrated to us, saying: I heard Abdullah b. Busr. Abu Bakr said: And I saw it in my book in another place.

   قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " لَتُدْرِكَنَّ قَرْنًا قَالَ: فَبَلَغَنَا أَنَّهُ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ مِائَةُ سَنَةٍ

   ✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: "You will certainly live to see a generation." He said: It reached us that he lived a hundred years.

   أَرَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ كَانَ شَيْخًا ؟ قَالَ: فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى عَنْفَقَتِهِ، فَقَالَ: قَدْ كَانَتْ هَاهُنَا شَعَرَاتٌ بِيضٌ

   ✧ "Did you see the Messenger of God as an old man?" He said: He placed his hand on the hair beneath his lower lip and said: "There were some white hairs here."

   قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ ؓ: أَشَيْخًا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: كَانَ فِي مُقَدَّمِ لِحْيَتِهِ شَعَرَاتٌ بِيضٌ وَأَشَارَ إِلَى مُقَدَّمِ لِحْيَتِهِ

   ✧ I said to Abdullah b. Busr ؓ: "Was the Prophet ﷺ an old man?" He said: "There were some white hairs at the front of his beard," and he pointed to the front of his beard.

    " بَيْنَ الْمَلْحَمَةِ وَفَتْحِ الْمَدِينَةِ سِتُّ سِنِينَ، وَخُرُوجُ الدَّجَّالِ فِي السَّابِعَةِ

    ✧ "Between the great battle and the conquest of the city are six years, and the emergence of the Dajjal is in the seventh."

    كَانَ يَخْطُبُ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: اجْلِسْ فَقَدْ آذَيْتَ وَآنَيْتَ

    ✧ He was delivering the Friday sermon when a man came, so he said to him: "Sit down, for you have caused harm and come late."

    اسْتَشَارَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ فِي أَمْرٍ أَرَادَهُ، فَقَالَا: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، فَقَالَ: " ادْعُوَا لِي مُعَاوِيَةَ " فَلَمَّا وَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: أَشْهِدُوهُ أَمَرَكُمْ، أَحْضِرُوهُ أَمَرَكُمْ، فَإِنَّهُ قَوِيُّ أَمِينٌ

    ✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ consulted Abu Bakr and Umar about a matter he intended. They said: "God and His Messenger know best." He said: "Call Mu'awiya for me." When he stood before him, he said: "Make him witness your affairs, bring him to your affairs, for he is strong and trustworthy."
