   مَا مِنْ وَالٍ يُغْلَقُ بَابَهُ دُونَ ذَوِي الْخَلَّةِ وَالْحَاجَةِ، إِلَّا أَغْلَقَ اللهُ أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ عَنْ خَلَّتِهِ وَمَسْكَنَتِهِ

   ✧ There is no ruler who closes his door against those in need and poverty but that God closes the gates of heaven against his need and destitution.

2. Musnad Abi Ya'la 1566No grade recorded

   مَا مِنْ أَمِيرٍ وَلَا وَالٍ يُغْلِقُ بَابَهُ دُونَ ذَوِي الْحَاجَةِ وَالْخَلَّةِ وَالْمَسْكَنَةِ، إِلَّا أَغْلَقَ اللهُ أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ دُونَ حَاجَتِهِ وَمَسْكَنَتِهِ، قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ مُعَاوِيَةُ رَجُلًا عَلَى حَوَائِجِ النَّاسِ

   ✧ There is no commander or ruler who closes his door against those in need, poverty, and destitution but that God closes the gates of heaven against his need and destitution. He said: So Mu'awiya appointed a man to attend to people's needs.

   كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ هَاهُنَا مِنْ مَعَدٍّ فَلْيَقُمْ ؟ قَالَ: فَأَخَذْتُ ثَوْبِي لِأَقُومَ، قَالَ: اقْعُدْ، ثُمَّ قَالَ الثَّانِيَةَ، فَقُلْتُ: مِمَّنْ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: مِنْ حِمْيَرَ

   ✧ I was sitting with the Messenger of God ﷺ when he said: Let whoever here is from Ma'add stand up. He said: So I took hold of my garment to stand, but he said: Sit down. Then he said it a second time. I said: From whom am I, O Messenger of God? He said: From Himyar.
