On the day of Uhud, the people fled from the Prophet ﷺ. He said: I saw Aishah bt. Abu Bakr and Umm Sulaym with their garments tucked up, so that I could see the anklets around their shins. They hurried with the waterskins on their backs, emptied them into the people’s mouths, then returned and filled them again, and then came back and emptied them into the people’s mouths.

Notes

  • Another narrator said: “They were transporting the waterskins.”
