حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الطَّالَقَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كَانَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ يَتَتَرَّسُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِتُرْسٍ وَاحِدٍ، وَكَانَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ حَسَنَ الرَّمْيِ؛ فَكَانَ إِذَا رَمَى أَشْرَفَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى مَوَاقِعِ نَبْلِهِ

Translation

✧ Abu Talhah shielded the Prophet ﷺ with a single shield. Abu Talhah was a good archer, and whenever he shot, the Prophet ﷺ would raise his head to look at where his arrows fell.
